Smartcitytec is a technology startup that develops solutions for intelligent management of cities and organizations. Based on the open-source FIWARE framework, the company builds real-time data spaces (Data Spaces) that integrate and standardize information from multiple sources. This architecture turns raw data into actionable intelligence, promoting efficiency, innovation, and transparency in connected environments. The Smartcitytec platform is made up of modules such as Data Space, Map Server, Adapter Agents, and Interactive Website. Together, they enable the integration of sensors, legacy systems, and user information in an interoperable ecosystem. In addition, the company offers deployment, customization, consulting, continuous support, and maintenance services, always focused on turning data into strategic solutions. Among Smartcitytec’s main differentiators are interoperability, data security and governance in compliance with LGPD, technology independence, and continuous innovation capacity. These characteristics allow clients to overcome information silos and build connected, flexible, and scalable solutions without dependence on specific vendors. The company operates on an international scale, serving both the public and private sectors. One highlight project was the implementation of the platform for the Association of Municipalities of the Laguna Region (AMUREL), in Santa Catarina, enabling geo-hydro-meteorological monitoring of 22 municipalities in the Rio Tubarão Basin.
